1. Open photoshop and go to
"Window" >> "show toolbars" to make
sure you have "tool bars" showing
image1
2. Select the icon for
"image ready" at the bottom of the tool bar as show
in image 1.
3. In image ready, open
the file of the glitter you want to use
(go to window > show animation if you dont
see an animation bar) it will show you the animation frames
for that glitter.
image2
4. Click back into
photoshop (as shown in image 2) and you will see the
layers in "layers, channels, path" tool box. (to
make sure this is on go to windows again and chose "show
layers")
image3
5. The eyeball in the
layer indicates it is a visible layer (see image 3), you want
to make a seperate graphic for each layer. To do this turn
the eyeball off in all layers but the one you are going to
use. Go to select > select all, and then to edit >
copy. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LAYER THAT HAS THE EYEBALL
HIGHLIGHTED
6. open file > new
and then edit > paste and you will get a untitled image.
do this once for each layer of the original glitter and when
you have all the untitled images on your session, go to each
one and save them as a "pattern"

image 4

image 5
7. You have to make sure
you do all three images by themselves to save as pattern. go
to edit > define pattern > name the pattern (purp1,
purp2, purp3)

image 6

image 7
8. Now open a brand new
file and pick out a font.
Write your
words then delete the background layer so that its just the
words on the checker blank background.
9. Depending on the
number of images the glitter has, this one has three,
duplicate your layer that many times so you have
three identical layers with word.

image 8
10. Rasterize each layer
(right click on each layer in the layer box to pick
"rasterize layer").
11. Take your magic wand
and click the word.

image 9

image 10
12. With the snake
outlining the words with your first layer visible and the
others hidden, (layer one eyeball on, other two layers
eyeball off) make sure that is the highlighted layer as well,
go to edit > fill > pattern.

image 11
13. Make sure the fill
option says pattern and you can see your three patterns you
saved as choices, with the first layer use the first purple
(purp1), with the second layer use the second one (purp2),
and with the third use the last (purp3).
14. Now click to image
ready again. (see image 1)

image 12
15. You will see one
frame and three layers, click the icon to duplicate frames so
you have the same number frames as you have layers. (image
12)
16. Important eyeball and
frame time!! For the first frame you want to highlight it,
and turn the eyeball on for layer one, and off for the other
two.

image 13 <frame 1>
17. For the second frame,
highlight second frame and turn the eyeball on layer 2 and
off on 1 and 3.

image 13 <frame2>
18. For the last frame,
highlight last frame and turn eyeball off on layer 1 and
2.

image 13 <frame 3>
19. Now go to the little
numbers under each frame to set the time between frames for
the animation. .1 seconds is good. (see image 13<frame
3>)
20. You can test your
animation by clicking on the play button under the frames.
the little arrow to the right.
21. If it looks good, go
to file > save optimized as > then name your .gif
whatever you want. and that should be your glittery animated
words. yay!
